Romance and Make Out Music!

Picture this: My husband and I are watching tv, and this commercial comes on. This handsome man and a woman are in a rowboat. He is saying something like, "How am I supposed to tell night from day, when the entire sky is on fire with your beauty! A single moment without your caress seems an eternity." To which, she swoons and falls back in the boat, "ahhhh," she says. Then this little squirrely guy pulls back on the shoulder of the handsome guy and says, "ok, that's enough, I'll take over now" and he jumps in front of the handsome guy in the boat. Then, looking at the girl laying back in the boat, still in a swoon, he says, "uh....you smell good."

Well, the rest of the commercial turns into a Hardee's commercial, and as it continues, my husband says, "so that's kind of like a Luis thing." I said, "what do you mean?" He says, "Well, Luis sings and makes all you girls swoon, then we regular guys take over from there!" I laughed for 15 minutes, nearly suffocating!

All kidding aside though, we were recently at a family gathering (husband's family) and some of his aunts were noticing my Luis t-shirt. Most were saying, "oh, that's interesting." But, one said, "if I were your husband, I'd kick your butt!"

Well, it may seem that way, but that commercial has a grain of truth in it, that turns out to be a perk for men. I mean, in previous generations, ALL guys knew to have an album of Johny Mathis' music on hand for the best makeout music, and they were never jealous of this music, but highly appreciative for it!

Life hasn't changed that much, except for now, MOVE OVER JOHNY, Luis Miguel is in town, with the best makeout music in the world, and for this, my husband is not jealous, but wants to say,
