...-And he should, as he has been a substantial figure in the music world for many years now. Just like many of you, I grew up listening to the music that is now considered "Golden Oldies" and this summer my husband and I attended a Golden Oldies concert that had quite a few of those stars performing. There were wall to wall people there, I forget how many thousands, somewhere over 10,000, proving that Golden Oldies are still alive and well in the USA!

Well, you know me, not to be out of 'uniform' - I was wearing one of my LM shirts, always hoping to run into another fan, but today I was in for an exciting surprise!

Occasionally I would pass a person from Latin America and see them eyeing my shirt. The crowd was so thick, it took about 30 minutes to wade through it to get up to the table to see what kind of merchandise was available.

When I finally made it to the table, I heard a woman's voice loudly exclaim, "Oh my God! Luis Miguel!" I couldn't believe it, I looked up and the voice was coming from the woman standing on the other side of the table. Amazed, I asked, "what do you know about Luis Miguel?"
She replied, "he listens to him all the time!" Now understand that there are quite a few singers there and lots of people milling around, so I have no idea who she is referring to.
Me: "who?"
Her: "Lou!"
Me: "Lou who?"
Her: "Lou Christie! He has all his albums and listens to him all the time!"
Well, I was totally in shock and amazed that she was talking about Lou Christie! Talk about your unexpected encounters with other fans! The lady I was speaking to is Kathy and she is Lou's assistant. She also said that Lou's daughter Bianca is a fan of LM's!
Actually, it is not too surprising that someone who has made his career in the music world knows great music when he hears it. You, no doubt, remember some of my favorites like "I'm Gonna Make You Mine", "Rhapsody in the Rain" and "Lightning Striking Again", just to name a few.
